What is Headsprout?
Headsprout Early Reading Program is an engaging, internet based supplemental reading program that teaches beginning readers the essential skills and strategies required for reading success. It consists of 80 online lessons and 80 ready to read Sprout Stories. 40 lessons are completed in Kindergarten and 40 in First Grade.
Each lesson takes about 20 minutes to complete. However the program is set up to accommodate to the learning style of the child to ensure mastery before the child is permitted to move on.
The best part of this program is the fact that parents can receive reports on what their child has learned and also enables parents to have their child do some episodes of Headsprout at home.
